GST grows fastest
VAT and good and services tax (GST) are two of the fastest growing taxes globally, according to a new report.
The study shows that over 141 countries now operate VAT or GST systems and others are moving towards one.
This could reflect the global trend by governments to focus on the certainty of revenues from VAT / GST and a desire to shift compliance costs from tax authorities to businesses.
